In Singapore, many renovation contractor companies do not bang hard in their corporate branding and awareness mainly due to cannot cope up with computer knowledge, internet online platform, social media, mobile application, and many more. Nevertheless, some renovation contractors and renovators are using Facebook as a marketing tool as a priority. Companies will tend to invest heavily into promoting company branding and awareness blindly on Facebook. Hence, their objective is to generate reviews and comments from everywhere on Facebook to gain public awareness without any proper marketing strategic management knowledge involves. Indeed, these companies can gain temporary brand awareness for a period when the deduction kicks off, however, it will come into a stagnant stage after some time when they don’t see too many responses from the investment.
Perhaps, it is so easy to comments in a review post on a renovator contractor company page if any user happened to search on the page, which this particular user can be with relationship or no relationship to comments the company review post. Having said that, this can be a double-bladed sword that cuts both ways easily that affected both the community and also the renovator contractor company. Anyone can go into their corporate Facebook page to tarnish their company reputation within a minute or even seconds regardless of how many decade years of buildup, likewise, people can also go into their page and give good comment reviews as well (Cockrum, 2011, p. 12). So, can you justify a good renovator contractor company based on the reviews or stars rating given on Facebook?
Similarly to Google as mention in the previous paragraph, Facebook does not provide the precise filtration of reviews that gives what the community looking for apart from stars rating and comment reviews. A question like: “Is this a cheap and good renovation contractor company?” Instead, most of us will get mislead by the misunderstanding of “overall” reviews star rating on Facebook. Additionally, judging this renovator contractor’s company good or bad by the stars rating earns as their status position.
For an instance, if a contractor has done up your house carpentry works in a very good workmanship manner but the price is very expensive, do you rate them 5/5 or 3/5? It is hard to break down as Facebook only allows you to rate the company one time based on your overall feel. Therefore, on the Ministry of Renovation (MOR) platform, you can source for your specific requirements, giving you a more precise targeted range on looking for renovation contractors such as “price”, “service”, “workmanship”, a combination of both or all three factors or more factor like a recommendation.
The MOR will evaluate the reviews score given respectively, going through a complicated algorithm programmed by the MOR to produce an overall average score for every individual renovation contractor company. Certainly, these reviews will create a vast differentiation between Facebook review points and the MOR review points giving all the user experience. Additionally, creating transparency in business to identify specifically on what user looking for in the approach of renovation Contractors Company.
