From time to time, we heard about Singapore Contractors Association Limited (SCAL) that is established since 1937 in Chinatown, one of the longest renovation contractors association in Singapore market till to date which formerly also known as The Singapore Chinese Contractors Association. Apart from that, Singapore Contractors Association Limited (SCAL) is responsible for more than 75 percent of Singapore built environment ((SCAL), 2017), most of the building such as Housing Development Board (HDB) flats, schools, hi-tech factories in over 23 industrials parks, Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station, shopping malls, towering office complex, ports, tunnel, roads, bridge and civil utilities is all related to Singapore Contractors Association Limited (SCAL).

Furthermore, Singapore Contractors Association Limited (SCAL) is a not-for-profit organization and also relates closely with government bodies regularly ((SCAL), 2017) such as Ministry of Home Affair (MHA), Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Ministry of National Development (MND), Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and also not forgetting about Housing Development Board (HDB), Building and Construction Authority (BCA), Land Transport Authority (LTA), National Environment Agency (NEA), Jurong Town Council (JTC) and even to SPRING Singapore.

Hence, Singapore Contractors Association Limited (SCAL) is the moving spear in renovation industries and associate with most of the renovation matter in the industries, hence, Ministry of Renovation will be updating the news of Singapore Contractors Association Limited (SCAL) every quarterly to the community related to renovation rules and regulations.
